This is a tea storage canister designed for matcha sifting.
Finished with beautiful washi paper, it is both practical and elegant—convenient to have as part of your matcha tools.

About matcha sifting:
Matcha is a very fine powder, and small clumps naturally form over time.
By passing matcha through a sieve (sifter) before whisking, these clumps are removed, allowing the matcha to dissolve more smoothly in water.

Sifting matcha helps create a smoother texture, brighter appearance, and better-tasting bowl of matcha, enhancing the overall tea experience.

How to use

1. Remove the lid and place the three round stainless‑steel balls (included) inside the fine mesh.
2. Place your matcha powder in the can: add 5-6 spoonfuls of matcha powder to start.
3. Close the lid, shake or tap gently in circular motions a few times to nudge the powder through the the mesh.
   
4. The clumps roll and fall apart against the mesh, effortlessly sifting the powder so your hands and clothes stay clean. 
5. Once the powder is all sifted to the bottom of the can, remove the mesh and set aside when you want to scoop the right amount of powder into your cup! 

The result is finely sifted, lump‑free matcha powder ready for water and whisking. Breaking up clumps in this way also aerates the tea powder, giving you a silky texture that whisks into a smooth, even-dilution. It will prevent the tea from becoming too strong or using tea powder too quickly.
